FEATURED PROJECTS

FINAL

MAJOR

PROJECT

During FMP I worked directly with industry, collaborating with George at ASDA, taking initial designs through development and manufacturing process’ to produce final outcomes. Taking on the role as supplier, I was able to liaise with the brand, work to required specifications and manage the critical path during all stages of production.

An example of a technical specification pack created during my collaboration with George. It holds all the detailed information for the construction of a tapered pair of trousers (DOS-T1).

This project focuses on learning the processes and details of creating grade rule tables, digitising, and digital grading, lay planning and plotting.

DARRAH O'SULLIVAN

Fashion Design with Garment Technology BA (Hons)

In this project I was given the task of recreating a garment whilst exploring and researching drape- considering fabric type and composition. The garment I was given was a 2000 Vivienne Westwood jacket. This project communicates how I used existing designer’s shapes, drape experimentation and research to figure out how to construct patterns and manufacture a garment from only an image.
